1 pound fresh strawberries (washed and dried thoroughly, stems on)

8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate for a richer taste)

2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for a glossy finish)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for added flavor)

Sea salt or crushed nuts (for garnish, optional)

Prepare the Strawberries: Make sure your strawberries are thoroughly washed and dried. Any moisture can prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.

    Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave at 50% power for 30-second intervals, stirring well after each. Continue until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. If you choose to use vanilla extract, stir it in once the chocolate is melted.

      Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it about two-thirds of the way up. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the strawberry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
