Ingredients
  

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup milk

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Make the Filling: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbly to form a roux.

      Add Liquids: Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk. Cook, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and starts to simmer (about 5 minutes).

        Mix Fillings: Add the shredded chicken, frozen vegetables, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce. Stir to combine, then remove from heat.

          Prepare the Dish: Pour the chicken mixture into a 9-inch pie dish or a 2-quart baking dish.

            Top with Biscuits: Open the biscuit dough and separate it into individual biscuits. Arrange them over the chicken filling, leaving some space in between for expansion.

              Add Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the biscuits with the beaten egg for a nice golden color when baked.
