EASY BRUSCHETTA WITH BALSAMIC GLAZE

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 French baguette or ciabatta loaf

2 cups cherry tomatoes, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)

Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or ciabatta into 1/2-inch thick slices. Arrange them on a baking sheet.

Toast the Bread: Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Make the Tomato Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the diced cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, and chopped basil. Drizzle with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Mix well and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assemble the Bruschetta: Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each piece of toasted bread.

Add Balsamic Glaze: Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top of each bruschetta for that sweet and tangy flavor.

Optional Cheese: If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese atop the bruschetta for an extra layer of flavor.

Serve & Enjoy: Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while warm.
