Dorito Taco Salad 

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients
  

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup water

1 can black beans, rinsed and drained

1 cup corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned)

1 medium ripe avocado, diced

1 large tomato, diced

1 cup shredded lettuce (romaine or iceberg)

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

2 cups Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor), crushed

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup salsa (your choice of mild or spicy)

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

    Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir well to combine and let simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

      In a large serving bowl, layer the shredded lettuce as the base.

        Next, add the cooked taco meat evenly over the lettuce.

          Layer black beans, corn, diced avocado, diced tomato, and shredded cheese on top of the meat.

            Sprinkle the crushed Doritos generously over the salad for that signature crunch.

              In a small bowl, mix sour cream and salsa to create a creamy dressing. Drizzle or dollop over the salad before serving.

                Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
