Ingredients

1 package (16 oz) frozen pierogi (any variety)

1 lb kielbasa, sliced into rounds

1 medium onion, diced

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Casserole Base: In a bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until smooth.

Layer the Ingredients: In your crockpot, add half of the frozen pierogi, followed by half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the diced onion. Pour half of the soup mixture over this layer. Sprinkle with one cup of cheddar cheese. Repeat the layering process with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, soup mixture, and top with the second cup of cheddar cheese.

Crockpot Cooking: Cover the crockpot with its lid and cook on low for 5-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours. The pierogi should be tender and the cheese melted.

Finishing Touch: Once cooked, give the casserole a gentle stir to combine the layers. If desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Serve: Ladle into bowls and enjoy your creamy, cheesy, and hearty pierogi casserole!
