1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup olive oil (for frying)

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Salmon: Pat dry the salmon pieces with paper towels. This helps achieve crispiness when frying.

    Create Breading Station: In three separate bowls, set up the breading station. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour mixed with salt and pepper. In the second bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. The third bowl will be empty – it’s for wet ingredients.

      Coat the Salmon: Dredge each salmon piece in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Then dip into the empty bowl, allowing some moisture for the breadcrumbs to adhere. Finally, coat with the seasoned panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

        Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

          Fry the Salmon: Carefully add the breaded salmon bites to the pan in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

            Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger (if using). Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.

              Combine Salmon and Sauce: Drizzle the honey garlic sauce over the crispy salmon bites or toss them in the sauce gently to coat.
