Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until evenly coated.

Spread on a Baking Sheet: Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down. This will help them caramelize beautifully.

Roast the Sprouts: Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside. Flip them halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.

Add Parmesan: Remove the sprouts from the oven and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over them. Return to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes to melt the cheese and create a crispy layer.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh zing.
