Ingredients

1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken strips, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

Prepare Breading Station: In a shallow dish, mix flour with a pinch of salt. In another shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Preheat your oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Coat the Chicken: Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator, one strip at a time. Dredge each strip in the flour, shaking off any excess, then dip it back into the buttermilk, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Fry the Chicken Tenders: Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil, frying a few at a time to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serve: Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or barbecue sauce. Enjoy your crispy chicken tenders!
