Ingredients

1 lb potato gnocchi

2 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

2 balls burrata cheese

Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Gnocchi: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the gnocchi according to package instructions, usually about 2-3 minutes until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.

Add Tomatoes and Cream: Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine. Add heavy cream, dried basil, oregano, and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combine Gnocchi and Sauce: Carefully fold in the cooked gnocchi into the tomato cream sauce. Gently stir until the gnocchi are well coated with the sauce.

Plate the Dish: Divide the creamy gnocchi among serving plates. Tear the burrata into pieces and place one piece over each serving.

Garnish and Serve: Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with grated Parmesan, and add fresh basil leaves for garnish. Serve immediately while hot.
