Ingredients

20 large pasta shells

1 pound ground beef

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

2 cups marinara sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare the Beef Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, and sauté for an additional 2 minutes.

Mix Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Mix well until fully combined.

Combine Fillings: Add the cooked beef mixture to the cheese filling and stir until the ingredients are well mixed.

Stuff the Shells: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take each pasta shell and fill it with the beef and cheese mixture. Align the stuffed shells in a baking dish.

Add Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
