Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta Bake

Ingredients
  

2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini works well)

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken is a great option)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

      Make Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Add the Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

        Add Cheese: Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

          Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Mix well to ensure everything is coated.

            Prepare Baking Dish: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.

              Add Toppings: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. If using, add breadcrumbs for an extra crunchy topping. Finish with a scattering of extra Parmesan cheese.

                Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
