Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Season the Chicken: In a bowl, toss the chicken strips with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the seasoned chicken strips to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp and the other tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the chicken.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and red bell pepper. Sauté for about 3 minutes until softened, then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Make it Creamy: Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, then slowly add the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Allow the mixture to simmer for another 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it's melted and fully combined. Add the cooked chicken and shrimp back into the skillet, and toss to coat them in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit more chicken broth to reach your desired consistency.

Mix with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and gently toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately for a deliciously comforting meal!
