2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 cup crushed graham crackers

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Prepare the Cherry Filling: In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh cherries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture begins to simmer and thicken (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let it cool.
