Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup milk

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

½ cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

2-3 tablespoons milk (for icing)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix ground cinnamon and brown sugar together.

Layer Cake Batter: Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter. Then pour the rest of the cake batter on top, followed by the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers to create a marbled effect.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool: Once done, allow the cake to cool in the baking dish for about 10 minutes.

Prepare Icing: In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Adjust the consistency with more milk if necessary.

Drizzle Icing: Once the cake is slightly cooled, drizzle the icing over the warm cake for a delightful finish.

Serve: Cut into squares and enjoy your delicious Cinnamon Roll Cake!
