Ingredients

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Extra ground cinnamon for sprinkling

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until creamy and smooth.

Gradually add granulated sugar and brown sugar, beating until well combined and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.

Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top of each cookie before baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may appear soft; they will firm up as they cool.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar for an added touch of sweetness.
