Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1/2 cup (4 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until fully combined and fluffy.

Add the Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.

Mix Dry into Wet: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Scoop the Cookies: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will set as they cool.

Cool and Dust: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve these delicious cookies at room temperature, and enjoy the delightful combination of cinnamon and cream cheese!
