Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup unsalted butter

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Chocolate sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the butter is melted.

Remove from heat, then stir in flour and mix until it forms a smooth dough. Let it cool for about 5 minutes.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy. Stir in vanilla extract.

In a separate small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon for coating.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or frying pan over medium-high heat (around 350°F/175°C).

Using a piping bag fitted with a star tip, pipe small bite-sized churro shapes (about 1-2 inches) directly into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Remove churro poppers from oil and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

While still warm, roll the churro poppers in the sugar-cinnamon mixture until well coated.

Serve with a side of chocolate sauce for dipping and enjoy your deliciously sweet Churros Poppers!
