1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup mini marshmallows

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup confectioners' sugar (for dusting, optional)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

      Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

        Add Egg and Vanilla: Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and continue to beat until well combined.

          Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Do not overmix.

            Fold in Marshmallows and Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips using a spatula, ensuring that they are evenly distributed in the dough.
