Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup mini marshmallows

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup powdered sugar (for swirling)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until fully combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

Fold in Chocolate and Marshmallows: Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

Form Cookies: Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Swirl the Icing: In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of water to create a thick icing. Drizzle this icing over each cookie in a swirling motion, or use a toothpick to create a swirl design.

Bake: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set. The centers will look soft but will firm up as they cool.

Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
