Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter (plus extra for greasing)

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup powdered sugar

2 large eggs

2 large egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup all-purpose flour

Pinch of salt

Optional: Ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Optional: Fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder to prevent sticking.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate chips over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and the melted chocolate mixture. Stir until well combined.

Add in the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Sift in the flour and add a pinch of salt. Gently fold the flour into the mixture until fully incorporated; do not overmix.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.

Remove from oven and let stand for 1 minute. Carefully invert the cakes onto individual plates.

Serve immediately with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, and garnish with fresh berries if desired.
