Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chocolate pudding (prepared)

1 cup chocolate cake, crumbled (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries: In a bowl, combine the halved strawberries with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Toss gently and let them sit for about 15 minutes to macerate and release their juices.

Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, remaining powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.

Layer the Trifle: In a large glass trifle bowl (or individual serving glasses), start by layering the crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom.

Add the Pudding: Spoon a layer of chocolate pudding over the cake, spreading it evenly.

Strawberries Layer: Add a layer of the macerated strawberries on top of the chocolate pudding.

Whipped Cream Topping: Spoon a generous layer of whipped cream over the strawberries, smoothing it out.

Repeat Layers: Continue to layer until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.

Drizzle with Chocolate: Drizzle the melted semi-sweet chocolate chips over the top layer of whipped cream in a decorative manner.

Chill: Cover the trifle with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Garnish & Serve: Just before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve with a large spoon to enjoy all the delicious layers!
