1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 eggs, beaten

Oil for frying

For the Lemon Sauce:

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)

Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Prep the Chicken: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Dip the chicken pieces into the beaten eggs, then dredge them in the flour mixture until fully coated.

    Fry the Chicken: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add enough oil for frying (about 1/2 inch deep). Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 4-5 minutes or until they’re golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

      Make the Lemon Sauce: In a separate saucepan over medium heat, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. Bring this mixture to a simmer.
