Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

Zest and juice of 2 limes

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix

1 avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Optional: 1/2 cup diced tomatoes, 1/2 cup diced red onion, 1/4 cup crema or sour cream

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Tortillas: While the shrimp are cooking, warm the tortillas. You can do this on a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side or wrap them in foil and heat them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.

Assemble the Tacos: For each tortilla, layer a generous amount of shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix, a few shrimp, and a slice of avocado. Optionally, add diced tomatoes and red onion for extra freshness.

Garnish: Top with fresh cilantro and drizzle with crema or sour cream if desired. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.

Enjoy!: Dive into these bright and zesty chili lime shrimp tacos that are bursting with flavor and perfect for any occasion.
