Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup marinara sauce

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

12 slider buns

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Olive oil for frying

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness about 1/2 inch thick. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides.

Breading Station: Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls—one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.

Bread the Chicken: Dip each piece of chicken first into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture to coat evenly.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat a generous amount of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken pieces and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Assemble the Sliders: Cut the slider buns in half. Place a piece of fried chicken on the bottom half of each bun. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken piece, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Melt the Cheese: Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and put them in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and place fresh basil leaves on top of the melted cheese. Add the top half of the buns and serve them warm.
