Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup Alfredo sauce

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 package (1 lb) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Olive oil spray

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even cooking throughout the calzones.

Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Roll Out the Dough: Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick. Cut the dough into 4 equal squares (or circles if you prefer).

Fill the Calzones: Take one piece of dough and place about 1/3 cup of the chicken Alfredo filling on one half of it, leaving a border around the edges. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal. Crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

Apply Egg Wash: Brush the tops of each calzone with the beaten egg wash to give them a beautiful golden-brown color while baking.

Air Fry the Calzones: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Carefully place the calzones in the basket, ensuring they aren’t touching. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Serve: Once done, remove the calzones from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Slice each calzone in half and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
