Ingredients

1 can of cherry pie filling (21 oz)

1 package of crescent roll dough (8 oz)

1 cup of cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup of powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour (for dusting)

Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cherry pie filling with a tablespoon of flour. This helps prevent the filling from being too runny when baking.

Make the Cream Cheese Mixture: In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Unroll Crescent Dough: Roll out the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. You should have 8 triangles in total.

          Assemble the Bombs:

            - Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture at the base of each triangle.

              - Spoon about 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese.

                - Carefully roll the dough around the filling, starting from the wider end and rolling towards the tip. Pinch the seams to seal well.

Egg Wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of the crescent bombs for a golden finish. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top for extra flavor.

Bake: Place the filled and sealed bombs on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
