Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/4 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Salsa or sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add Onion and Garlic: Stir in the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes).

Season: Add the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Mix well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.

Cheesy Mixture: Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, diced tomatoes, and black olives (if using). Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Prepare the Dough: Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Separate it into triangles as per the packaging instructions.

Fill and Roll: Place a generous spoonful of the cheesy taco mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough towards the point, enclosing the filling. Pinch the edges to seal tightly.

Bake: Place the rolled sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve: Once baked, let them cool slightly. Serve with salsa or sour cream drizzled over the top and garnish with fresh cilantro.
