Cheesy Potato Breakfast Casserole

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

4 cups frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced cooked ham or cooked bacon

5 large eggs

1 cup milk (whole or 2%)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and the diced ham or bacon. Mix well to distribute the ingredients evenly.

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Spread the potato mixture evenly in the bottom of the dish.

Pour the egg mixture over the hash brown mixture, ensuring every piece is coated well.

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly on top of the casserole.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.

After 35 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown and the casserole is set in the middle.

Let it cool for about 5 minutes before cutting into squares. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 6-8

Enjoy your delicious Cheesy Potato Breakfast Casserole for a hearty start to your day! 🌟
