2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)

1/4 cup olive oil

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Prepare Yeast Mixture: In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

      Combine Mixtures: Once the yeast is frothy, pour it into the dry ingredients along with the olive oil. Mix until a dough starts to form.

        Incorporate Cheese: Add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses to the dough. Knead the mixture in the bowl or on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

          First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

            Shape Bread: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Shape it into a loaf or divide it into smaller rolls.

              Second Rise: Place the shaped bread on a lined baking tray or in a loaf pan, cover it, and allow it to rise for another 30 minutes.

                Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

                  Egg Wash: Brush the top of the dough with the beaten egg to give it a golden finish while baking.

                    Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C).
