Cheesy Beef Alfredo with Linguine

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

8 oz linguine pasta

1 lb ground beef

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Linguine: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes). Add the ground beef, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon (about 6-8 minutes). Drain excess grease if necessary.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: Lower the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream to the skillet with the beef. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually mix in the Parmesan cheese and continue to stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing it gently in the cheesy beef Alfredo sauce until well coated. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

Add Mozzarella: Fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese, allowing it to melt into the dish. Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more salt or pepper if needed.

Serve and Garnish: Plate the cheesy beef Alfredo linguine and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot.
