Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup beef broth

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 package of biscuit mix (about 2 1/2 cups)

2/3 cup milk

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Cook the Beef Mixture:

      - In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).

        - Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

          - Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

            - Pour in the beef broth, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.

              - Remove from heat and stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.

                Prepare the Biscuit Topping:

                  - In a medium bowl, mix the biscuit mix with milk, melted butter, garlic powder, dried parsley, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until just combined; do not overmix.

                    Assemble the Cobbler:

                      - Pour the beef mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

                        - Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit batter evenly over the beef mixture, leaving gaps for steam to escape.

                          Bake:

                            - Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the biscuit topping.

                              - Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

                                Serve:

                                  - Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy as a hearty meal perfect for any occasion!
