Cake Mix Toffee Bars

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 box of yellow cake mix

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup toffee bits (or crushed toffee candy)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and eggs. Stir until fully combined and you have a smooth batter.

Add in the vanilla extract and salt, mixing until just incorporated.

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, toffee bits, and walnuts (if using). Make sure everything is evenly distributed.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, cut into bars and serve. Enjoy your Toffee Bliss Cake Mix Bars with a drizzle of chocolate on top if desired!
