Ingredients
  

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, according to preference)

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg (for egg wash)

Cooking spray or oil (for greasing baking sheet)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or oil.

    Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the breakfast sausage until it’s browned and cooked through (about 7-10 minutes). Drain any excess fat and reduce the heat to low.

      Add Flavor: Stir in the garlic powder, black pepper, and green onions (if using) into the cooked sausage. Mix well and remove from heat. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

        Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Open the can of crescent roll dough and lay it out on a clean, flat surface. Separate the dough into triangles as indicated on the package.

          Fill the Rolls: Place a generous tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

            Roll Them Up: Starting at the wide end, roll the dough up over the filling towards the pointy end. Place each roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

              Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the crescent rolls for a golden finish.

                Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden and puffed.

                  Cool & Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious breakfast!
