Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

1 cup jasmine rice

1 ¾ cups beef broth

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Rice: Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice with 1 ¾ cups of beef broth. Bring it to a boil, then cover and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Let it marinate for 15 minutes to enhance the flavors.

Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Beef: In the same skillet, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet; you may need to do this in batches.

Combine: Once the beef is cooked, return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for an additional minute to heat through.

Assemble the Bowls: Scoop a generous serving of jasmine rice into each bowl. Top with the beef and pepper mixture. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Serve: Enjoy your flavorful Beef and Pepper Rice Bowl warm, drizzled with extra soy sauce if desired.
