Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup chocolate chips (or walnuts, if preferred)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Then, blend in the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Gently fold in the chocolate chips (or walnuts).

Shape Cookies: Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to drop dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie as they will spread.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look set.

Cool: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve: Enjoy these delightful Banana Bliss Cookies warm or at room temperature!
