Banana Bread Brownies

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until well mixed.

Add the mashed bananas to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined (do not overmix).

Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your delicious Banana Bread Brownies!
