Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tbsp olive oil

3 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare Brussels Sprouts: Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim the ends, and cut them in half lengthwise. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

Season the Sprouts: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the Brussels sprouts, tossing to ensure they are evenly coated.

Roast: Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down for optimal caramelization. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through the cooking time.

Add Cheese: If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the sprouts during the last 5 minutes of roasting, allowing it to melt and create a deliciously cheesy crust.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving for a pop of color and freshness.

Enjoy Your Flavor Bomb!: Serve warm as a delightful side dish, and enjoy the explosion of flavors from the crispy roasted Brussels sprouts!
