Baked Ham and Cheese Rolls

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 package (12 oz) of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup sliced deli ham (smoked or honey ham works best)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooking spray or butter for greasing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it lightly with cooking spray or butter.

Prepare Crescents: Open the package of crescent roll dough. Carefully unroll the dough and separate the triangles along the perforated lines.

Mix the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the Dijon mustard and honey. Mix well until smooth. This will be your spread for extra flavor.

        Assemble the Rolls:

          - Spread a small amount of the mustard mixture onto each crescent triangle.

            - Place a slice of ham on top of the dough, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese.

              - Roll each triangle from the wider end to the point, wrapping the filling tightly.

                Season and Bake:

                  - Place the rolled ham and cheese on the prepared baking sheet.

                    - Sprinkle garlic powder over the rolls for added flavor.

                      - Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, let the rolls cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm!
