Ingredients

4 large croissants

8 slices of deli ham

8 slices of Swiss cheese (or cheese of your choice)

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Freshly cracked black pepper and sea salt to taste

Fresh chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Croissants: Slice each croissant in half lengthwise, creating a top and bottom.

Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and mayonnaise until well combined. Set aside.

        Assemble the Croissants:

          - Spread a thin layer of the Dijon-mayo mixture on the inside of each croissant.

            - Place 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese on the bottom half of each croissant.

              - If you’d like, you can add a sprinkle of black pepper and sea salt on top of the cheese for added flavor.

Top it Off: Place the top half of the croissant back on and brush the outside of the croissants with the melted butter.

Add Parmesan: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top of each croissant for a nice golden crust.

Bake: Place the assembled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then garnish with chopped chives or parsley, if desired. Serve warm as a delightful brunch or snack.
