Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenders

6 strips of thick-cut bacon

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Wrap the Chicken: Take each chicken tender and wrap it with a slice of bacon, ensuring the bacon is tightly secured around the chicken. Place the wrapped tenders on the baking sheet, seam-side down.

Prepare the Glaze: In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until you have a nice, crumbly glaze.

Coat the Chicken: Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture generously over the bacon-wrapped chicken tenders. Make sure to coat all sides well for maximum flavor.

Drizzle and Bake: Drizzle the olive oil and apple cider vinegar over the chicken tenders for added moisture and flavor. This also helps crisp up the bacon.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. You can broil for the last 2-3 minutes if you want extra crispiness.

Serve: Remove the chicken tenders from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
