Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith)

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1/4 cup granulated sugar (for sprinkling)

Caramel sauce (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.

Prepare the Apple Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), lemon juice, and melted butter. Mix well until the apples are coated and let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.

Roll Out the Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles. You should get 8 triangles from the can.

Fill the Crescent Rolls: Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the apple mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end to the tip, gently tucking in the sides as you go to enclose the filling.

Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color. Sprinkle granulated sugar evenly over each roll.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the apples are tender.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. If desired, drizzle with caramel sauce before serving. Enjoy warm!
