Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for extra crispiness)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Start by thoroughly washing and peeling the sweet potatoes. Cut them into thin, even strips (about 1/4 inch thick) for consistent cooking.

Soak in Water (optional): For extra crispiness, soak the sweet potato fries in water for 30 minutes. Then, drain and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

Season the Fries: In a large bowl, combine the sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch (if using). Toss well until the fries are evenly coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Fries: Place the seasoned sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.

Check for Doneness: Once the fries are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer. If you like them crispier, you can let them cook for an additional few minutes.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the fries to a serving plate and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, aioli, or a spicy mayo.
