Ingredients

2 large flour tortillas

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith)

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)

Cooking spray or a little more melted butter for brushing

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well until the apples are thoroughly coated.

Assemble the Taquitos: Place 1-2 tablespoons of the apple mixture on the lower third of each flour tortilla. Roll the tortillas tightly, tucking in the sides to seal the filling as you roll.

Brush with Butter: Once the taquitos are rolled, brush the outside of each with melted butter or spray lightly with cooking spray to enhance crispiness.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Taquitos: Arrange the taquitos in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.

Serve: Carefully remove the taquitos from the basket. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Enjoy: Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat!
