Ingredients

1 lb potato gnocchi (store-bought)

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

8 oz burrata cheese

Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

Cook the Gnocchi: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the potato gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the top (about 2-3 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Make the Sauce: Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine. Add the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Combine Gnocchi and Sauce: Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and gently toss to coat them in the creamy tomato sauce. Let it cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Add Fresh Basil: Stir in the chopped basil just before serving, reserving a few leaves for garnish.

Serve with Burrata: Transfer the gnocchi to serving plates and top each portion with a generous piece of burrata cheese. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Garnish and Enjoy: Finish by adding the reserved basil leaves for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy your creamy, dreamy gnocchi dish!
