Ingredients

1 package (16 oz) gnocchi (fresh or shelf-stable)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

2 balls of burrata cheese

Instructions

Cook the Gnocchi: Begin by cooking the gnocchi according to the package instructions. Once they float to the top, drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant—be careful not to burn it.

Make the Sauce: Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for about 3-4 minutes. Then, pour in the heavy cream, and sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine Gnocchi with Sauce: Add the cooked gnocchi to the cream sauce and toss well to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.

Add Cheese: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

Serve: Divide the creamy gnocchi among serving bowls. Top each bowl with a generous piece of burrata cheese and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Enjoy: Serve immediately, enjoying every delicious bite of this creamy delight!
